I've been tagged!

1. I cry every single time, I mean every single time I watch any of those Baby Story type of shows. You know the ones where they show the birth.....but yet I didn't cry when I saw my own children for the first time. Maybe I was in shock, or in pain from the birth, I don't know, because my boys are my entire life right now, but that is sorta strange.
2. I have MVP-Mitral Value Prolapse...a mild form of it, diagnosed in the hospital when I had Carson. My heart will beat really irregulary, or skip beats at times. I found I can control it with no caffeine, or less caffeine. No coffee or caffeine soda for me, but that doesn't stop me from chocolate!
3. I played UAF volleyball with 2 teammates who have been on Oprah & Dr. Phil. One for a sex change operation and the other for marital problems. A 3rd teammate years later, killed a retired police chief and then killed herself. I keep wondering if any of my other teammates will make TV or the paper??
4. I have worn a St. Christopher's medal for my necklace since around my sophomore year of college.....about 20+ years. My husband and kids don't have to worry about jewlery shopping for me very much. I must get it from my Dad.
5. I take flight anxiety pills every time I fly. When I was at UAF for volleyball, we landed in Denver one time, and a plane had just recently crashed there, and it was pushed off to the side, still smoldering. Then a friend of mine from UAF, his brother was killed in a small plane crash. I never wanted to fly again, and in fact didn't for about 11 years or so. Then September 11th happened, and I heard about the guys who stopped their plan from crashing into the white house, and I know it doesn't make sense, as many then feared flight travel, but I felt braver for some reason because of their actions. I also knew my older boy would be starting to travel for hockey, and I didn't want to miss his games. My Dr. prescribed the pills....easy going every since.
6. I collected Beanie Babies. haha....I admit it. Have a gigantic storage box filled with them in my crawl space. Anyone want to buy them? My sickness with them, carried over to my parents and my sister in law. I'm sorry I spread that to you! haha
7. I'm afraid to drive over bridges. I'm not talking about little overpasses, or the cushman street bridge in Fairbanks. I'm talking the big ones. Like the one in BC, I think at Fort St. John.....OMG, it was metal grate bridge and super high....I panicked, froze up and stopped the car. Derek had to come back over get me. (we were in seperate cars) I only have this problem if I am the one driving....when I am not driving I just look straight ahead and yell at whoever is driving to be looking straight ahead and not over into the water. I have this problem on or around cliff edges as well. My grandmother didn't like heights either...I probably get it from her. I don't like walking over bridges either.......ack!

This a youtube video of my 8 year old niece Maggie playing in her very first basketball game. I think she scored 8 points. She is #5 in the light green jersey. She is a very good soccer player, but now has a new love with basketball! Soon I will have pictures of her new baby sister due any day now!

Jared playing...
| Here is Jared playing some songs on his keyboard. He got it for Christmas a few years ago. He did do about a month of lessons, but it was just so hard to fit it in around his and Carson's hockey practices, so we stopped. He loves playing, and learns songs off the internet. We really should get him back into lessons, as he seems to have a knack for it. Be sure to pause the sound at the bottom of this page, so you can hear him playing. This song is called Love song. |

More moon theme...
He came with us to Carson's practice tonight, and we just had to get the picture of him holding up the moon in the parking lot on the way into the rink!

"I love you to the moon and back!"

Ever since Carson was a baby, I would always say to him, 'I love you to the moon and back.' Then he started to one up that, and say, 'yeah, I love you to the moon and back infinity times.' It has since become our game of one upping each other on how much we love each other with different little quotes. He hasn't gotten 'too big' yet, and still plays it with me. Anyways, he should probably have a coat on, and I wish I knew how to do the settings on my camera better, but the picture opportunity reminded me of our game.Tuesday, October 14, 2008
Something to ponder.......
I heard this quote on tv last night and it really made me think. I may not have it exactly as they said it, but it went something like this:
"Look at your friends, and see your future."
Surround yourself with good people my friends, and the future looks bright is what I'm thinking.
Have a great day!
