Jared's hockey team had State Tourney in Anchroage this weekend. The first game against the Northstars was 9-0. No problem. The second game against South Central different story. The Lions were playing catch up the whole game. They finally tied it towards the end. We all thought it would go into overtime. They had a faceoff in the Wolves end. Jared had a good draw and then got a nice bounce his way, made a move around one guy. Time was running out...he shot and scored with literally 1 second on the clock..Lions Win! 5-4

It was another nail biter, except this time, we always had the lead.
They pulled their goalie at the end, and Jared took a shot on the empty net (as the goalie was leaving the ice, he realized our team got possesion, so he tried to get back) and he threw his stick at the puck. So Jared got a penatly shot, but he missed.

Jared had 12 points in 4 games. We had 5 players in the top 6 of overall scoring of all 4 teams.
They had to San Jose in 3 weeks for Regionals!

About this time last year, Jared's team down in Anchorage won their State hockey tournament. All the boys shaved their heads in the lockerroom. Since that time, Jared has been trying to talk Carson into shaving his head, but Carson has said NO, until today.
So much hair! I think the cat thought a new critter had moved into the house!

This year, since Jared's team won state, they decided on the no shave thing....which considering their age, is funny. I think there only about 4 of them that can actually grow face hair! haha
