This is Derek's dad, Harvey. Here he is in his #5 hockey jersey the Lacombe Rockets. It was a Senior A Hockey team in Alberta, Canada. He played during the 1964-65 season. For the 1966 season he played with the Drumheller Miners hockey team, also a Senior A hockey team. They won the Allan Cup that year. The Allan Cup was awarded to the best team in all of Canada.That team was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame on June 14, 2008.
The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is located in RedDeer, Alberta, their hometown. The team's picture is also in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
Carson wears #5 as well.
Grandpa Harvey is still playing hockey today with the oldtimers.
